Richard Littlejohn mostly lives in a gated mansion in Florida. Andrew Neil mostly lives in Grasse in the South of France.

“Brexit means we can make our own agreements with the EU, as we pick and choose!” - UK chooses to make agreement with EU on a handful of issues. “Brexit Betrayed!”

I’m old fashioned enough to think the BBC should be leading on what the deal is and what it means. Rather than the political claims from both sides.

I think the language was badly chosen & have written a piece (forthcoming) on why. Starmer did not quote Enoch Powell. He did use the word 'strangers'. Powell used this word too. They made different arguments using the word. The idea it was an intentional echo is highly implausible & 99.99999% not

Excellent letter. Well said @tanjabueltmann.net . I deeply share your outrage and sense of betrayal.

For no reason at all, I thought people might want to read about Stalin's cult of personality in the Soviet Union. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_...

Woman Contemplating Pre-Nuptial Agreement - artist unknown (2025)

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops. I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III. Remind you of anyone?

Matthew Stadlen calls out Newsnight for giving Douglas Murray an 8 minute window to spew divisive hatred Newsnight brush it off and move on 🤷‍♂️

Christ I was joking 😳

A very strange UK politics where it seems the two traditional parties are targeting the same ~20% of the population and nobody very much cares about the remaining 80%.

“It is 1949. The Labour government is nationalising the steel industry due to market failure.” “It is 1967. The Labour government is nationalising the steel industry due to market failure.” “It is 2025. The Labour government is nationalising the steel industry due to market failure.”

The only thing Trump has liberated today is any last vestige of respect for America. The USA is now the geo political equivalent of an angry man in an ill-fitting gimp suit, riding a mechanical donkey through the centre of town whistling the Benny Hill theme tune through his buttocks.

Not making time to watch the actual programme everyone’s talking about but seemingly having time to absorb a twitter conspiracy about it is the most Kemi Badenoch response I ever heard

The last *seven days*? What *we* have *always feared*? What an irredeemable fraud he is. Gets a whole chapter in ‘How They Broke Britain’. And here he is now, ‘seeing the light’. Danny Dyer voiceover: “Twat.”

As Honest Bob Jenrick tours the country repeating far-right conspiracy talking points about “two-tier sentencing”, here is the letter his own government sent to the Sentencing Council last year approving the very Guidelines he now claims are evidence of “two-tier Keir”. The man is a fraud.

Ukrainian elections: See if you can spot the main differences from Russia and Belarus

Vance claims he wasn't referring to the UK & France. So which country was he referring to? Germany, Italy, Poland, Denmark, Spain, Romania, Netherlands, Czechia, Norway, Estonia, Sweden, Latvia, Finland, Portugal, Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovakia, Lithuania all fought in Afghanistan.

Defender of free speech Vance is going to give Trump such a telling off when he reads this!

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell. This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

On 15 March 1939 Hitler and his deputy summoned the Czech President to Hitler’s residence in Berlin and then bullied him to submitting to a German invasion of his country. They drove him to the point of physical collapse, threatening him until he eventually signed his country’s death warrant.

This is a President who skipped a World War One commemoration because it was raining talking to one who has stood in front of a fresh mass grave of his own people.

I think this is the closest many of us have ever got to seeing the real Trump. The only consistent thread in his entire unhinged rant was the love & praise for Vladimir Putin. Zelensky has more courage & dignity in his little finger than every member of Trump's regime & fan club combined.

A side note to the chaos, but one of the American ‘journalists’ used his question to ask a war time leader about his outfit. I hope he goes home tonight and reflects on whether this is the profession for him.

Trump and Vance’s shameful behavior has embarrassed their country. President Zelenskyy is a hero. He should have been treated as such

Visiting Great Uncle Don: my SKETCH of Today in Managing elderly unstable presidents. thecritic.co.uk/visi...

The idiocy of this sort of coverage should now be apparent to all. It wasn’t just the Express, a lot of normally sane journalists have attacked the PM for spending too much time building alliances with other countries.

This is passionately crafted manifesto, which should stir us all to action

They tried to cancel John Crace from covering the right-wing jamboree at ExCel but no one can stop him filing copy this good www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Even by his god-awful standards, this is one of Trump’s most disgusting press conferences. He’s attacked Zelenskyy, using Kremlin talking points that he only has a 4% approval (LIE). Then, again, Trump blames him & Ukraine for starting the war. THEY. WERE. FUCKING. INVADED.

The moment Trump ally Carla Sands tried to tell Victoria Derbyshire that there are more political dissidents in prison in the U.K. than in all of Russia. We really are through the looking glass now.

I’ve just woken from a nightmare where the BBC Today Programme asked whether J.D. Vance had a point. When US officials are being asked to sign loyalty oaths and agree that Trump won in 2020

Between 1946 & 1981 the UK built 5 million council homes. Since 1981 we've built 250,000. The housing crisis is Thatcher's legacy, not a result of migration. @ianbyrnemp.bsky.social "Let us stop demonising those who come to the UK in search of safety security & a better life." youtu.be/FYvuy33_0Yk

Keir Starmer and Ed Davey are more highly rated than Farage and Badernoch. The Great British Public hasn't the same view as right wing hacks and media chatterers.
