But when I asked why he still comes when it dredges such painful memories, "Because I have to."

John Cho, star of Sanctuary Moon?!

Ha! I watched it last night! So... You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you? I'm in fairly good, if anxious, hands, and we can geek out about serials afterwards.

I was very lucky that in order to graduate I had to put up an exhibition. It went a long way toward deciding what my portfolio should look like.

So... People who have committed a civil misdemeanor. Will the Marines be deployed to stop the jaywalkers and the people who ride their bikes on the sidewalk in my town, next?

It took me two weeks to shake that off. Tho come fall I will definitely miss some of my kids who moved on to high school.

It really is so much better... Especially if you don't have three+ hours to spare for a single game 🙂

One thing that worked for us was a choice board (works with my recalcitrant students too), which gives her the illusion of control.

I thought doing this would salve my dysphoria. Boy, was *I* wrong.

"Stop resisting!" says the bastard as he clubs the person who is not resisting.

Vibes. I'd go thru the usual litany of "have you tried"s but I won't belittle you like that. I went thru a big part of my life with little/no sleep (apnea) so you have my love getting thru this... It just makes everything else the harder.

Tell me about it! I'm in a race against time to reach retirement age before my "invisible" disability makes me unable to work at all. And that deadline could happen any day. I guess in their minds I could be a deaf ditchdigger with a Masters in Ed...

The graphic designer in me thinks adding a picture behind each, at like 20% opacity, might help. Then again, I had a poster in my room all year (with ONE sentence), included info from it on my final, and most of my students got it wrong.

I saw it in person once, came around the corner in the museum and BAM, there it was. Oof!

Sargent's 'Lady Agnew of Lochnaw'. His loose style combined with his depiction of beauty is just... Awesome.

...thought: contact paper for stencil?
comment in response to post
How I would do it: I'd use butcher paper to make a stencil and adhere it with a crapload of blue tack (because of canvas texture). Then use a rust color spray paint for a first layer, let totally dry, then red spray paint.
