It always is with the right. Google searches for 'what is a tariff' shot up. If we don't get out of vibes based voting I'm not sure how its not just endless change elections.

This is the media takeover plan that's been happening for decades. The right cross pollinates with TV, radio, podcasts, etc... If the dems wanted to win they would start doing more of this.

Neat, they can go complain to each other about it on twitter.

Eventually this strategy will win over voters. One more time.

The toxic media environment is a feature not a bug.

Man I'm old, I remember Jacks first tweet. Or being excited to get accepted to college cause it meant I could get a facebook account. The way this site allows to self moderation is pretty unique and rad. It gives me hope.

Is there an option that adds HGH?

We'll get the peoples vote back by bending over for people who shit on every norm imaginable.

Incredible. You do see Matt in the background in a bunch of Trump pictures.

Toxic media environment combined with decades of right wing media take over. The rise of a populist and then a global pandemic. Brains are broken.

That makes sense, I do agree there. Do you think this means recess appointments are probably not happening?

The only way they're related is everyone who was stoked on the blockchain found something they could exploit even better.

Sounds amazing.

Just call yourselves the new republican party at this point.

This is disappointing to hear. McConnell has been my least favorite establishment politician for a long time. Not that I think he's a genius, he just shows up at the worst times to use his power in the worst way. Which I guess is the point.

The imitation instinct is strong. Newt (our cat) was previously named 'kitty' but the new name is more fun to say I think.

Have been working on words and my 15 month old said 'dada' back to me directly for the first time yesterday. Our cat is also named *hissing sound* lol

Knowing line cooks we're at least 75% of the way there.

This is how they took over right wing media. The dark money funding never stops.

Yeah if at all, going to be a lot of surprise tests coming up.

You posted graphs that show a sharp drop off after the election peak in interest in these topics because of the time scale. Not sure what your point is.

Not doing super serious analysis looking at year of data when the election was a week ago.

This graph gets at the nightmare box point.

I keep thinking about this chart too. All of the hand wringing and pet reasons for why the dems lost. And then between the eternal squeeze of infinite growth and the nightmare box we carry in our pocket. Hard to see how we get out of endless change elections.

What else is the internet for?

The one running around with Liz Cheney sprinting towards to the right. After the last candidate failed so hard at a debate he had to drop out with 100 days left. But keep not understanding why people are losing faith in the democratic party.

So it's only people's *perception* that they're hungry and can't afford groceries?

The collective misunderstanding of how someone like Trump could win again is fucking wild. But look at these graphs!! Read this 20 page document!!

You know a word is one of the good ones when you can only say the first letter and then make everyone think it.

Clearly they didn't move right enough. Maybe if they had enough money to re-animate the corpse of Kissinger they could have won.

They’re backed by big money interests ultimately controlling the narrative:
