I got one of these too!
I've gotta say, when I go through Georgetown, "too much sidewalk" is not a thought that has ever entered my mind.

Both Specialized and Trek have fairly upright, step-through frames, and it should be pretty easy to find a place that stocks them.
Some of the more bespoke options are nice, but also expensive, and seem to prioritize twee over functionality (if that makes any sense)

I'd suggest reading the actual article, because this summary feels like it's misleading outrage-bait – it's an article about wealthy people who tend to donate to Democratic causes.
The author makes zero connections to the party itself or any elected officials.
It's bait, and the NYT knows it.

Agreed that the latter is problematic (although in context it looks more like bad copyediting), but when you sign up to run a political party, tone is literally your entire job.
And, also I disagree that calling somebody out for repeating fascist talking-points is "tone policing."

After reading about Hogg's appearance on Maher, I can't really blame the DNC for trying to distance itself from him.

Sorry if that's a bit "Well, actually"
I think "Should we advocate for new technologies like Maglev?" is a legitimately interesting topic of conversation.

Point taken on ambition, although DC-BOS in 2 hours would require veering into the territory of taking risks with unproven technologies

Possibly the most savage burn I've heard all year.

@joshtpm.bsky.social It may be worth getting ahead of one particular unsourced viral post that's been going around, declaring that inbound volumes have dropped to ZERO.
Things are bad, but that... doesn't seem like it can be correct.

Here's a link! www.vesselfinder.com/ports/USSEA001
Currently, it says "64 vessels have arrived within the past 24 hours and 26 ships are expected to arrive in the next 30 days"
I have no clue what typical volumes of Chinese-flagged vessels in Seattle are supposed to be, TBH.

Does anybody have a good source for those April 29 and May 10 dates?
This post is going around like wildfire, and I can't find anything that corroborates those dates.
