CVs are an important part of the validation process. However, it's possible to be measuring the wrong thing with precision. These assays need to provide data validating the specificity and linearity in addition to specificity. academic.oup.com/clinchem/adv...

It is indeed like a treasure hunt, uniprot is the low hanging fruit, although I do like it for the available proteomes, but getting the unconventional proteomes fasta and to figure out the right hits is indeed fun

Isn't identifying proteins different from sequencing proteins, but this article keeps mentioning it as sequencer? de novo peptide sequencing and protein sequencing... and while at it, what about prediction ? Or am I getting bogged down on semantics 😁
