Everything was fine until Trump decided to unleash violent raids w/o grounds in elementary schools, shopping areas, & peaceful public spaces. ICE then illegally blocked Members of Congress entry into the facilities they are disappearing people into, escalating the situation. Let’s start there.

I get the outrage, but I think Carney sees things from a more grim, clear-eyed perspective - that we need to think in realpolitik terms. In WWII, the Axis would never have been defeated without an uneasy, temporary alliance with Stalin. No Bibi, Putin, Xi or Kim invited, eh?
