Recall Lindbergh went hard for Nazi Germany & he wasn't alone. Also, after WW1 saw KKK membership explode, esp in Midwest (sadly, I have relatives who were members). Thing was who they hated/targeted was very regional: blacks in the South but also immigrants/Jews in Indiana/Illinois/etc.

They would need a grand jury to get first degree. They're just charging him with what they know they can prove at this point. They can always go back, present to a grand jury, and then go for first degree. I suspect that is exactly what will happen.

Ok, thanks. It is HUGE -- the biggest I've ever seen & I grew up surrounded by corn fields in the Midwest. Seen plenty of crows but this guy or gal has been juicing like Sammy Sosa.
