Far right nutters are definitely more dangerous, but far left nutters are actively hindering the left as a whole from being politically impactful. We’ll never be able to convince Randy Fine that genocide is bad, but we can reach out to nutters on the left and make the left stronger as a result.

like, OSC’s worldview is weird and it absolutely bleeds into the books at times, but there’s no way the scenes where Ender kills other children are meant to be a moral example

isn’t this the point? Ender has no free will, he spends the whole book being manipulated

Aliens that make human costumes to wear around humans, because they have no concept of the uncanny valley

arachnid aliens that hide four of the legs to make humans more at ease around them (it does not work)

Recently I had a fantastic Power Through/Evolve build. The wounds weren’t useful on their own, but I hit the hand limit almost every turn! Very good with True Grit & Dark Embrace.

I’d argue doubt is a suitable stance when surrounded by people who agree with you, but when the world is run mostly by people whose morals are either deeply misguided or nonexistent, a bit of unshakeableness is appropriate. There’s a time for contemplation and a time for action.

It’s good to question your beliefs, but some things have to be unshakeable: for example, that human suffering is bad. If doubt means you ignore injustice, you may as well have no morals at all.

It’s not that Labour is responsible for the bad economy - it’s that so many of their solutions are from the Tory playbook. Nine months isn’t enough time to fix the economy, but it’s long enough to see what the government’s priorities are.

you might not even need the poison, if you have a large enough humidifier or a small enough room
