One of the settings 👇🏻 This Roman auxiliary fort on the main ridge of the Taunus mountains is today known as the Saalburg. The reconstruction of the fort started in the early 20th century.

Ja mei, wenn die Klinik halt auch so im Weg steht, da bleibt einem ja nichts anderes übrig.... Es wird immer abstruser. Man möchte eigentlich nur noch schreien.

A real “threatening breach” was January 6. Letting that veteran sit down would’ve been the respectful thing to do. He served this country letting him sit peacefully should be the bare minimum.

But the far-right leading the "free" world these days does not believe in treaties, but that things are solvable only with force. So there we are. It is apparently more sensible in this upside-down world to go to war *over nuclear weapons* than to regulate the use of that technology.

(I no longer work in academia, but my last research project back in the day focused on Punch, and it kind of shows in my fiction. LOL! I'm currently trying to incorporate a Punch Pocketbook into a short story...)

Since you are a fellow Victorianist: How about a historical romance set against the backdrop of the Eglinton Tournament? My novella The Bride Prize: Allan's Miscellany 1839 is the first in my series about a fictional Victorian magazine. (Later installments include much fangirling over Punch 😊)
