I get the point when it comes to comparing this to pre-Musk Twitter. Lots of different viewpoints were present there, but, once he bought it and chose sides he ruined it. Glad to have diversity of thought within the bounds of our rule of law, but, fascists and bigots must always be denounced -

Great stuff, Adam! And, as a 29 year Navy JAG, I concur in full. The administration has federalized National Guard troops, which means, like all other federal troops, they can’t engage in domestic law enforcement without a declaration of an insurrection. So, what is their role then?

There hasn’t. There’s never been a President who cared less about actually governing and there’s never been an out-right fascist positioned to exploit just that. One of my first thoughts in 2016, once it was clear that Trump had won, was “OMG, that nut Stephen Miller will be in the White House.”
