I love how annoying this track is, and how the subtext is, you gotta fake happy to shit like this. Shots.

Beautiful track. Feels even deeper knowing more about the title. Sorry for your loss— and wishing you the best.

I think there will be some significant work to do, to build all of Blinky’s visions, titles etc. but hopefully! The screened version is SD tape so still pretty gritty.

Good news is based on the two public theater screenings in LA, it is available for theaters to rent now (though expensive). And since both screenings more than sold out, it’s possible the studio could release the film print for a proper restoration.

It was the first time I have seen it, and I had always heard that it was clunky. Its absurdity really meets the moment.

Ian told some stories about Angelo Badalamenti composing music on set, and going on a French talk show and noticing a street light on the other side of the stage… by the end they got him to do the dance. Months later in Japan, he looked across the stage in horror to see another streetlight set.

Months later on a Japanese variety show, to his horror he saw another streetlight on stage. It happened again.

The jokes are a mile a minute and some get funnier with every episode. Lester Guy’s dance had us in tears by the last episode. Ian told a funny story about going on a French talk show and noticing a street light on the other side of the stage… by the end they got him to do it.

After his return to filmmaking, TRL is my favorite— but I’ve thought so much more about The New World. That opening 10 minutes and the end are just perfect.

I don’t think it’s going to be easy to wash the stink off from joining this ‘movement’ and doing it pro bono sounds even worse.

If everyone is getting weary of gumroad because of certain founder connections, maybe itch could fill the void.

This droned me off into the bardo, and I had some very strange dreams last night.

Did a drive from Silicon Valley to San Francisco. 80% of the billboards have AI featured. I was actually relived to find a regular old ‘Jesus Saves’ one. The comfort of less ambitious promises made.

It’s a hard time to tour the US. Considering driving to Phoenix to see Djrum. If it’s not coming to where you are, go to it. We need to fill our tanks however we can right now.

When was the last time I heard them play Confusion the Waitress…. 1997?

Intermission was a great addition. I drove 400 miles to hit this show. Did not disappoint!
