Dragon, 1991 - present
Train-liker
Sometimes dragon, sometimes Arcanine, sometimes sergal, sometimes shiny. Expect bad jokes, urbanist takes, dragons and mostly SFW shots of fursuiters in latex.

Several times a day! They're fascinating sociological as well as historical tools, quite aside from their use as navigational aids!

I switched to Photopea. What it loses in open source credibility and ethos it gains in being a usable and useful image editor

oh god there's one building by Old Street tube station which does this and I don't even like looking at it in-person, it hurts

I wish that 2030 comment was a joke and not an entirely plausible prediction for the chapter 7 release

It's all very "JJ Abrams magic box", in that we're told there's a mystery and we should care about it, and then drip-fed what the mystery is, and yeah, after 7 years it's actually really frustrating

Actual sums. I think we're just bad at processing things when they don't slowly rise in price and instead happen all at once. The other big example being fucking Freddos

It's not even a case of "but inflation" - games cost less per hour of work nowadays. £3 in 2005 wasn't gonna get you what £20 can get you in 2025, even with the diminished purchasing power of the pound over the intervening 20 years

The biggest thing is "hours worked vs available purchasing power". And twenty years ago you could work 9 hours (@ minimum wage) and have one video game and £3 left over. In 2025 you can work 9 hours (@ minimum wage) and have 1 video game and £20 left over.

The quality of the media is neither here nor there (they're both fine works of fiction), and I know both are very important to people, but we should really be logically consistent here. If you're boycotting HP (and you should be) but not FNAF, ask yourself why.

Sounds like you're living in some sort of Fantasy there!
