Even if manufacturing is re-shored in the United States, that won't equate to long-term job opportunities. Humanoid robots will be the workers in many cases. The trend is just starting and will only continue. In 10 years robots will take most Mfg. jobs

Tariffs become a blanket excuse for companies to raise prices across the board, such as 2018 Trump tariff on Washing Machines also raised prices of dryers, even tho they weren't tariffed

Companies are already applying tariffs to product even if they aren't collecting the tariffs.
This is an email I received today from a memory card company I've purchased from. It outlines their price fluctuation being tied to tariffs, and suggesting they had already raised prices prior to April 9
