Fans do this at sporting events too! “I paid for this ticket, I can say whatever I want to these players. I pay their salary!”

“This trade is going to motivate him. Being around LeBron is going to motivate him.”
That man is still an orange cone on defense. It was comical how little effort he gave on that end in an elimination game.

I am admittedly very soft when it comes to “horror” and this movie so damn good that it overrides all potential bad feelings.

@dartadams.bsky.social I feel like in the mainstream/national media, his death is severely overshadowed by Len Bias’
Like Len Bias is always a top 3 NBA “what if?” and maybe even top 3 in sports period.

I figured that was coming. Makes sense.
Danny saying (paraphrasing a bit, I think) “you can trade them, they are Celtics legends anyway” was very interesting. I mean he’s right. Nobody loved PP or KG any less after getting traded. One of those “I see both sides” deals.

That happened to me, at least. My grandfather loved Cousy, so my father was into it. He loved JoJo and Cowens and then obviously Bird and co. And then Pierce into the KG era and on for me.

My partner and I were talking about this last night cause it happens in most away arenas. We think it may be because they were so good during the 60s, 70s, 80s that people just picked them as their favorite team regardless of connection to the city of Boston. And then it gets passed down.
