“I don’t believe that Andrew Cuomo was behind that bigoted campaign slogan ‘Vote for Cuomo, not the homo’ against Koch back in the day. He wouldn’t stoop to… Oh. Oh dear.”

I expect Schumer to vote to sanction Padilla. And Jeffries to make a speech supporting Johnson. 🤷

Greater societal equity is good. Therefore I live in an old shoe and eat bark.

Hegseth is disgusting.
The disregard with which he treats our (former) allies is utterly shameful.
But he’s not unique. It’s an entire administration of self-regarding degenerates, most of who wouldn’t understand loyalty and duty if it whacked them in the face.

Policies and management and boring reality based discussions in general are “elitist” nowadays. Also “woke.”
I don’t make the rules. 🤷

Yeah, the relevance of the bar elections to me in a normal year is nearly zero. This year, I voted the first day. First time!

“Never” is social media hyperbole, but it’s vanishingly rare. This century, it seems the only conviction is of flunky Michael Cohen, but feel free to research. Nobody with real connections seems to get prosecuted. www.nbcnews.com/politics/con...

Lying to Congress under oath is illegal, but it’s never enforced, so I guess lying to Congress under oath is legal.

Wild.
Of course, if the board members and the corporation don’t think trump has this power, they can just continue as if he never said anything.
Like if I came up to your house and said “Kai, you’re fired,” would you sue me or just say “that guy is a nut” and go to work anyway?

I saw some advice given to another fascist a while ago…
Occupying American cities is a batshit crazy idea and the media needs to frame it that way.

Which line of that Niemöller poem is it where they shoot the pretty blonde TV reporter in the back on live TV?
Is it at the beginning or at the end? Can’t remember.

With all respect… huge in what way?
I hope I’d resign too and I’m glad Schrader can look in the mirror, but I’m not sure what else it does other than removing an ethical lawyer from an obviously MAGA-fied agency.
I’m worried that once trump is gone, every agency will be MAGA, tip to toe.

I see no evidence that shame or mockery has any impact whatsoever on trump or his MAGAs.
That being said, I won’t stop shaming or mocking, just in case.

I think trump has transcended Elon. With his coin and his personal deals with various oligarchs and oligarchic governments, trump doesn’t need donors. His ability to get media companies to pay him off for nonsense lawsuits is also a nice sideline.
Republics, however, do still need donors. 🤷

Apologies for my doubt. I keep thinking there is a limit to how cartoonishly evil these folks are.
There isn’t.

Scolding people while your party is being stuffed in a gym locker by the most degenerate administration since Caligula’s isn’t a power move for sure.
It’s total loser energy, repugnant to most men, and, I suspect, an awful lot of women.

Let me suggest that if you, or any Democrat, were to object to every piece of business Republics bring to the floor, folks wouldn’t be riveted to the Battle of the Stupids, but since no Dem has shown that level of fortitude, I’ll take what I can get.
comment in response to

Yes, Drunker was wrong, but, I too was honestly expecting Dems to roll out Schumer in a couple of days to read out a couple of zingers while looking significantly over his glasses and someone waves a cane in the background.
It’s good to be wrong, sometimes.

We are overrun with stupid people. Please send help.
But beware… the Fords are but a foretaste what might await you if you don’t heed our downfall and fight, relentlessly and without mercy, against the stupids.
Dumbs, dumbs in the deep. They are coming.

When someone is wrong about everything, the reason is usually because they are stupid.
I never equated extraordinary wealth with extraordinary intelligence, but, to my surprise, I’m starting to equate wealth with boneheaded stupidity.

All those good things you say about Lander may be true, but he seems a little nerdy from time to time, so gotta go with the corrupt guy. 🤷
