A reminder that as you are selecting your Friday the 13th viewing, the original intended title for FREAKY was, in fact, FREAKY FRIDAY THE 13TH and appropriately takes place then. It's a modern horror classic and if you've still not seen it, tonight is the perfect night to hoot and laugh your ass off

UNBOUND AUTHORS: The administrators are scheduling a second creditor meeting to address concerns brought forward over director conduct. If you would like to attend, YOU MUST FILL OUT THE ADMINISTRATORS PROOF OF DEBT FORM (it’s simple and not scary). DM me with your emIl to be forwarded it

We now cross over to BBC Radio Derby.

I have used urinals next to Phil Jupitus and Dom from Dick and Dom.

Despite Tim Burgess being from there too, for my home town it would be Rupert Holmes, the reason Northwich has an annual Piña Colada festival.

You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you? Wax on... wax off.

My name and face got added to the London Film and Comic Con website as a comics guest. This was cool for about five seconds and then I looked at the other faces and the impostor syndrome kicked in. Should probably work on that. Anyways, come say hi.

This is the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard!! 😍

Idly wondering whether Hans Gruber from Die Hard was related to Lt. Gruber from 'Allo 'Allo. (Lt. Gruber's first name turns out to be Hubert.) This would mean there was a whole shared Die Hard / 'Allo 'Allo universe.

Huh. Had very rough ideas for two separate fantasy novels in my head for about 10 years but never quite figured them out enough to start them. Now I think they could actually be the same novel linked by a totally separate third idea I've been thinking about this week.

As currently living mostly on my own timeline this week went to the cinema. Ballerina, is a good fun extension of the Wick universe. Recommended if you like that sort of thing.

Edy is easily one of the funniest people on the planet and you are not going to see another show like whatever this is going to be this year. Treat yourself. You deserve it.

Reminder they trained AI on 70 years of science fiction about AI going rogue and wiping us out so of course it has already started misbehaving.

Determined to do very little today so catching up on some movies I started but had to abandon half way because of life stuff. Very much enjoyed The Gorge (sexy leads, fun story) and Heretic (a talky psychological thriller with a great cast of which Hugh Grant is especially brilliant).

don’t forget: waymos and other robotaxis are surveillance devices on wheels that police are increasingly tapping for footage

First Greater Manchester Improv Festival done. Amazing shows, great audiences. A couple of days to recover then we'll start thinking about the second one...

UK/US LITERARY AGENTS: Are you willing to look at submissions from former Unbound authors on the, uh, rebound? If so, please drop a line in my DMs with your contact and #MSWL or area of expertise. Especially looking for people who rep nonfiction. Some TRULY excellent books looking for homes.

YOU WERE WARNED youtu.be/7fej5XgfBYQ?...

Some of y'all can't handle 2 high agency males going at it and it really shows.

Well Predator: Killer of Killers is a fun addition to the canon and keeps us fed until Badlands comes out.

We're not shooting enough CEOs in the street.

They released the full version of Niamos so we can all get wasted and dance like Mon Mothma whilst our friend gets murdered for being a liability who tried to blackmail the nascent rebellion. Sound of the summer. youtu.be/WxLBOwdTKjI

Between the story about Musk being a drug addict and the fact Trump is in the Epstein files, it's a big couple weeks for things everyone already fucking knew.

Oh God, that was the *same day* as the bit where Trump was surprised the Germans were happy the Nazis lost, and both were *the same day* as the Post Wars. Which were all *today*. I think we may be reaching some Stupidity Singularity.

Need to get up and strip the bed because new mattress could arrive any minute. But the cat woke us up at 5am and I just want to be asleep.
