I think at one point the IN9 team talked about a spin-off anthology series with new writers but never got it off the ground.

Really Starship Troopers vibe to that commentary. Surprised it didn't end with "Do you want to know more?"

Truly one of Palpatine's worst crimes is talking in the theatre.

A quick search tells me that it was a custom for the film so never had a complete typeface though people have replicated it since and called it Rollerball.
So I'm going to guess this was also a custom job too.

All of Manchester's heroes are a bit cunty. For the 10+ years I was in New Dawn Fades I was acutely aware that if Curtis had lived he'd have been insufferable. We're "lucky" that so many big faces in the Factory mythos are dead so the city can shape the legend to fit.

Ian Curtis. Who has the benefit of being dead so we never got his villain phase.

Ballad of Wallis Island is a delightful hug of a movie. Charming, heartfelt, funny, beautiful film that is going to . Both Tom Basden and Tim Key are brilliant in it, especially Key who absolute broke me in a couple of scenes. Find it where you can.

There's a tiktok trend where AI will create a video of cops arresting you or a family member (which is particularly horrible when ICE are disappearing kids in the US) and people are accidentally poisoning the well with pet images so now the cops are also cats. Nightmare inducing for lots of reasons.

Yeah, I was going to dig a hole for it in the graveyard next to comic books and physical media but when I got there, their graves were empty...

I believe Sony have a big stake in Bad Wolf and I can see it moving to Amazon who are in an IP vacuum race with Disney+.

Indeed. And lets face it, the Olympics historically has no issue going to a country run by Nazis.

They should. But they won't.

That jokey "oh wow" tone is infuriating. Straight out of a 90s sci fi. And then the slow realisation and existential dread.

Those really are a lot of words and images that don't say anything.
