If there’s one Reform UK I’m interested in, it’s reform the UK press. Facts not fiction dressed up as ā€œbalanceā€ and perspective. This kind of reporting should be forced to publish a clarification the next day in the same real estate, in the same size and with the same fan fare.

Who does this benefit?

It’s literally written in his manifesto!

IDS? That’s 25 years ago. The problem isn’t the reduction in discounts (WFA/Pip/2 child benefit cap)… the problem is the cost of what they’re subsidising.

Literally 10 months into a government vs 14 years of underfunding and deliberate erosion. This takes time. What more do you expect? This government is better than what came before. Not saying that they can’t do more, but I am saying this isn’t Johnson/May/Truss/ Sunak/Farrage.

The problem isn’t removing discounts. The problem is expensive fuel.

I imagine that jobs are linked to funding cycles. TBF to labour they’ve not been in a year yet. Keep the pressure up on the issue, but don’t make out this is somehow their fault (yet!)

The problem isn’t taking away discounts, the problem is expensive fuel.

Quickest way to make money in a gold rush? Sell shovels. Until the press is regulated and accountable, things will only get worse. Facts should matter more than representation and ā€œbalanceā€.

I’m perhaps being pedantic, but is he going to use the money saved from cutting the waste (that he is yet to find) to pay for the teams to do the work? So… we’ll end up about where we are now? Any danger of this journalist asking a challenging question or holding this man to some accountability?

Who on earth is buying newspapers these days?

News presenter should be asking him this exact question.

The journalist needs to do a better job here. Hold these idiots to account and follow up on their statements with details about what they’re proposing. The media is is letting us down by amplifying these morons.

A human that wants fewer rights…. But for him, for us. Sincerely hope this con man runs out of victims soon and that he faces some serious questions from the press rather than half volleys for racism.

Struggling to see which advert you’re talking about! A cynic might say BA couldn’t buy this advertising.

All these acts and you still couldn’t get ā€œCarkā€ on the bill? Give the people what they want! And play the staff a living wage too.

As bad a Badenoch is, the journalist should do a much better job of holding her to account. Ask her to explain this position, what data she has, why the previous government cut funding.

He once appeared in the UK in a Ricky Gervais show. This is pretty good: youtu.be/sqA577_IoBk?...

Depends what you mean by growth. If you mean growing inequality, austerity worked quite well last time.

If you work in London you’ll continue to get o get living allowances… If you work a little bit in London we’ll put a points based scheme against your benefits and reduce them.

And also their own rights! Even seals can learn to clap with enough bribery and training.

100 publicly elected officials voted against giving the majority of the people that voted them in better rights. 🤯 MPs are supposed to be public servants.

Why would you want to go into any trade deal with the US right now? Look at the state of Canada and Mexico, previously touted (by Trump) as the best trade deal in history and now being dragged. Long term mutual trust and consistency will form the best basis for the UK’s next best deal.
