I had to go to A&E yesterday and am so thankful to be in this country. That visit would have been $10k in the US. Baby is fine and although I’m still in some pain, it was a relief to be able to go for peace of mind and not worry about the cost of making sure me and baby were okay.

If you're invited to speak at a for-profit conference, only agree if you and all other speakers get paid. You're putting in a lot of work and you must be compensated. Exposure is not enough, even if you're a beginner. Don't sell yourself under your value.

Gosh it is pretty cool I get to spend a week in Spain with colleagues. Was walking to dinner a few nights ago, very tired, but just enjoying the moment. Maybe next year I can have a little more Spanish in my language arsenal. But we’ll see with baby on the way 🫣
