If you're talking about private employees, broadly speaking most people have off Christmas, and Thanksgiving. But unskilled & other service workers have been losing that piecemeal for years.

They are merely holidays that the federal government recognizes, which / means that federal employees have them off (unless whatever they do is absolutely mission critical)

Every single onboarding I've had has had a section that went something to the effect of "please lock your Twitter accounts while you're employed here or post nothing but duck photos you took at the park"

Like they would at least have a point if SpaceX had a failure rate that was high but falling, if one in three starships blew up, but they were making progress.
But they're not even doing that.

Even at the height of NASA's rocket killing program in the 1950s and '60s they didn't have anything like a 100% failure rate that we have seen out of SpaceX.

As was mentioned by someone else, this wasn't even an example of a failed test, they didn't even get to start the test! The thing exploded before the rocket could even be fired!

Granted keep yourself safe with the Gestapo, but the law is very clear about what they are and are not allowed to demand of you.

Like if you were just paying for the security guard's wages and nothing else that would only buy you like 18 hrs a week of security. And remember that they have to pay for infrastructure and HR and equipment and benefits and so on.

Also can we talk about how $1,800 per month to have a security guard at your house 6 days a week is a stupidly low price unless those people are just popping by for 5 minutes.
