A better subtitle would be “The President started a trade war with penguins. He lost.”

@kenmartin.bsky.social this 6 point plan lays it out for you. Even if you can’t the chaos, there is plenty that can be done to impede it.

What do you propose is done to stop Trump?
So far I’ve seen effective use of lawsuits. What else?

It is easy to point the finger of blame when you are lying.

I recently spent a few weeks in the north of England, where I met far too many locals who were okay with Trump’s approach to immigration & economic issues.
As an American, it reminded me of people in my country before we fell off the cliff. Now home, things are scary here. You are right to worry.

Don’t forget about the tan suit besmirching the office of the president!

To be familiar with that story, they would have had to actually read the source material.

As the minority party, the Dems cannot pass & Trump would not sign such legislation. Is your idea more that they should still propose it for the purpose of saying “we tried”?

That is generally the plan. I can exchange tickets for my package games to whatever games. Last year I got to combine some tickets to take a bigger group to see Ohtani on his 50-50 journey. Baseball can still be special.
Or I’ll just go to games where Sandy is pitching. That guy deserves better.

The team gave up on fielding a decent product when they decided Kim Ng needed a new boss who had decades less experience.
I’ve already cut my ticket package in half and Will probably throw the towel in altogether in 2026.
Miami is a joke of an organization.

You know Trump is going to recycle the joke when Carney takes over. His well of material is not deep.

You could email them your shitposts to bring a bit of joy to some nepobaby intern that will have to read the email.
There is a Surrey in both Virginia & North Carolina. That narrows down your options to Thom, Ted, Tim & Mark.

Messaging does matter. It is one phase of “doing something”.

Many Americans who voted clearly did not care about democracy. They voted for the guy saying he would fix their problems. Pointing out that Trump isn’t doing the things he said does matter.
The minority party in the Legislature cannot stand up against the tyranny of the Major without the People.

The mission of DOGE is NOT efficiency. Its mission is the destruction of functional government in order to privatize public services.
Someone is getting rich from this & it won’t be us. 3/3

I had just started high school when the flip happened, so I can remember what it was like to get a decent education in Florida.
It makes me very sad to see how bad things have gotten. I worry for my nieces & nephews.

The McCourt saga was really worthy of reality tv. It felt at times like “The Real Housewives of Chavez Ravine”.

Turns out what Kamala was actually doing was trying not to undermine the efforts of the Biden Administration to negotiate a ceasefire. Work that began before her campaign.
Seems pretty presidential to me.

And how many people voted against Harris “bEcAuSe sHe SuPpOrTs GeNoCiDe””?!?
This is the least shocking thing Trump has said or done this week.

And let’s not forget those Old Testament chestnuts: “thou shalt commit adultery”, and one that I think will get a lot of mileage this administration “thou shalt bear false witness.”

Surely you have it wrong! The GOP assures me that being a good Christian involves hating people who are different from you, hoarding money so you don’t end up like the disgusting poors, and flagrant disregard for one’s fellow man.
