Also, if these people had any faith in god, they’d actually follow all the obscure rules that seem to not make sense or matter, rather than picking and choosing based on what’s convenient for them.

A whole movement of people refusing agency. Everything is being done to them rather than a choice they are making.

“This terrible thing is being done to me, rather than I’m doing it to myself by refusing to respect other people’s medical needs”

“I didn’t leave the party. I, in fact, only ever used the party for my own self-enrichment and then the other party made a better offer.”

Jesus was only assassinated once, so Trump must be twice as holy.

All the people who kept insisting Trump would end wars and not start new ones despite not ending the war during his first term and frequently threatening war with countries like Iran the first time.

Especially when it’s almost never a “we” but an “I, and my partner who will put up with this because they don’t want to move out”

Trump is fundamentally lazy. He doesn’t want to create a dictatorship, he wants to inherit one.

These are the same people who don’t vote because their individual vote won’t swing the outcome. Marching demonstrated how many Americans object to the President which then makes it harder for politicians and journalists to pretend he has huge support.

It did rain, but the fact that they couldn’t pinpoint exactly how much and on which particular streets it would land is proof that you can’t notice trends over time

We were celebrating what they fought for by denouncing the guy who wants to get rid of the Constitution and use the military as his personal cheerleaders

Ironically, at this point wearing a uniform that identifies you as ICE is a better sign that you aren’t actually an ICE officer because they tend to wear plainclothes.

To them, trans people being denied healthcare and being subject to invasive searches when trying to use the bathroom isn’t as bad as hearing people say “wow, you have 8 kids?” with a condescending tone of voice.

The problem with having a religion based in worshipping a martyr is that then everyone wants to seem like one when in fact the only “persecution” they face is that people roll their eyes at them when they explain their weird interpretation of their fantasy book.

The right-wing misinformation campaign has convinced most people that the media is left-wing despite largely having right-leaning corporate owners, and so work overtime to appear extra objective by avoiding anything that seems critical of the right.

His support is flimsy. A lot of people are willing to vote for him but not do anything else and actually hate most of what he actually does but have been convinced that Democrats are actually worse despite all evidence to the contrary.

He runs it like his business: gets other people to pay for it, takes a cut for himself, and then blames other people for the failure.

We put all of our efforts into immigrants who make up a much smaller portion of our population and are trying to avoid attention, and who are immediately background-checked and investigated if they try to get their hands on a weapon. And even if they commit violence, it’s usually petty crime.

It would be a more believable number if it weren’t 250 like the anniversary. But they don’t need believable because most of their supporters have never been to DC or know what 250,000 people looks like.

They got a budget Lizzo knockoff. It’s like Trump’s shitty gold decor that’s actually just yellow paint.

Trump looks bored at his own parade, almost as though it’s not as cool when you don’t actually control the country and most people hate you and you have an endless well of joblessness inside that can never be filled no matter how much money you steal or waste.
