I googled after I posted because I actually remember the Obama years. If you do ANY research then you will see multiple complaints about the lack of due process for those deportations from multiple groups including the ACLU. So please, Google before you try to correct me

You mean Pres Obama aka "deporter in chief". Y'all can easily Google how many immigrants then Pres Obama deported, the discourse around it, and how he handled it.

Didn't her husband deport over 3 million illegal immigrants without due process?

Gun laws don't work. Look at Chicago, New Orleans, St Louis, Detroit, etc Bringing a gun on campus - a crime Murder - a crime What gun laws are going to make criminals follow laws?

I was thinking the same thing

Why would these stats make me uncomfortable? Stats are stats and have bias

Please dive into Louisiana some and tell me the percentage of fun violence in the big blue cities compared to the rural areas.
comment in response to post
Yes, I am aware of the gun laws in Japan. I've been to Tokyo and Kyoto multiple times. My question was a response to your premise that gun laws worked. Why are the most violent cities "blue cities"? Also, name calling is a sign of low intelligence and doesn't help your case.
comment in response to post
Almost every city with the most fun violence is a heavily Democrat city with strict gun laws. Chicago, Detroit, St Louis, NYC, LA, etc. If gun legislation worked then why is this the case? I'm pro gun control but we need to be realistic.
comment in response to post
Yes! Every crime is a crime where they value themselves over others. You didn't answer my question. Why do Chicago and Detroit (my home town) have more gun violence than other areas / cities. Our gun violence as a nation comes down to about 10 bad cities.
comment in response to post
Culture and respect for others. Chicago has a huge gun violence problem, why do you think that is?
comment in response to post
And it did nothing to stop school shootings, a "normal" weekend of violence in Chicago, or the acts of violence with a weapon because criminals will use guns to be criminals.

Or, focus on correcting the national perception of the Democrats. If the lunatics want to push every rational person towards the Republican party then the Democrats will start losing every important election.
comment in response to post
You're just willfully ignoring the facts. One simple Google search you can see his gang affiliation, his arrest history, his violent history, and his documented affiliation with MS-13.
comment in response to post
Typing in all caps doesn't change the facts. The Democrats -- my party of 20 years -- has the lowest approval rating because we fight for the wrong things. We agree this is a sad thing for his family, we disagree that a member of a terrorist organization has the right to stay in this country.
comment in response to post
Due process does not apply to members of designated terrorist organizations post 9/11. Regardless of how we feel or how sad this is for His family, the criminal facts remain and He must be deported.
comment in response to post
This is not a hill we want to die on... Our party is taking up fights on issues that 90% of Americans disagree with us on. The Democrats have failed to be truthful with any of the facts in this situation.

I really like Governor Newsom but this lawsuit will go nowhere. I really wish @cademocrats.bsky.social and Gov Newsom would focus more on CA and less on Trump. Filing a lawsuit while asking for a bailout is a bad look.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia has repeatedly been identified as a member of MS-13 by a Maryland county police gang unit, a reliable confidential informant, and ICE officers. What do you mean "can't find criminals"? Both an immigration judge and an appellate board agreed on his status.

A big portion of California is "Trump Country" because the @democrats.org cannot have an adult conversation about solutions. We need both parties to stop whining about the white house and move forward together.
comment in response to post
"Maryland Man" you misspelled "Foreign citizen here illegally". It's sad when families are torn apart but neglecting facts makes you lose credit with the public.
comment in response to post
Even there, stop focusing on the Republicans. We could do so much more if we only focused on the people

Listening and empathizing with ALL people to figure out what YOUR people need is the responsibility of the local government and house
comment in response to post
1. As a registered Democrat for 19 years I'm allowed to complain about how far our party as fallen. 2. Our party is ruled by elite millionaires who are out of touch. 3. The solution is: stop complaining about trump, stay in your local area, sit and talk with people on both sides of the aisle.
comment in response to post
That is where you are incorrect. The Democrats need to get back to solving problems and just making Trump our talking point. We have a chance to empathize with people and offer real solutions instead of whining like toddlers that "trump is evil". Real leaders have real solutions.
comment in response to post
Dang our party needs better leadership. We are losing the 80/20 and 90/10 points because our party is being run by a very loud vocal minority. The Democrats need to get back to being the part of THE people and not the party of SOME people

Both President Biden and President Trump signed executive orders regarding the border. Illegal immigration is crushing our country and our culture.

I agree and love that you're posting about military and law enforcement should have stopped President Biden from allowing all the millions of illegal immigrants into our country during his term

All students. The domestic terrorists who have hijacked Ivy schools are a threat to every student they encounter and school faculty / staff if you read court documents. There is a difference in peaceful protests and acts of terror.

I'm fully on board with universities being held accountable for not protecting ALL of their students regardless if it is Ole Miss in the 1960s or Harvard today.
comment in response to post
How so? If a university wants federal funding then they have to follow federal guidelines. Harvard has enough foreign funding to operate but Harvard can choose to go fully independent like Hillsdale College.
comment in response to post
I'm fully on board with this. All students must be protected and if an institution doesn't want to allow ALL students to learn freely and safely then measures must be taken. Don't want to follow the rules? Don't accept funding. Harvard could be 100% independent like Hillsdale College.
