My heart goes out to you for your loss. I recently lost my 14 year old pup to melanoma. Someone shared with me- “though he is not able be there with you until your final days…. he was able to spend his life and his final days with you, and there is beauty in that which will bring you comfort.

I was in first grade in Parochial school when we learned of it over the announcement speakers in the classroom. When I got home that day I walked into the living room to see my mom sitting on the ottoman watching the tv with tears in her eyes….. first time I ever remember seeing my mom cry.
