Doctor Who. On Monday Nov 25, 1963, my Dad raced into the house, yelling “quick, quick, put the telly on!”
The 1st episode had been shown on Saturday and was repeated the following Monday. Dad’s workmates had talked of nothing else all day. We sat and watched “An Unearthly Child” with open mouths!

Yes, but Porphyria did play a role in George III’s demise.
Our best bet is relying on a diet of junk food and ketchup … 😉

They need to prevent the freedoms people enjoy in blue states, so red state residents don't get envious and ask why they can't live like that.

Y'know, I'm far more worried about the TOTAL ABSENCE OF DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP as Trump implements a police state than some tenuous internecine spat.
Where are you guys?

More importantly, it's denying low-income women the free or low-cost healthcare they receive through Planned Parenthood. This has little to do with banning abortion - that flagship is just being used to make people desperate and dependent on "Christian" charity.

At least Trump is largely ineffectual, with the impulse control of a gnat.

State Farm just raised my home insurance by 17%. In an area with no natural disasters in living memory. They’re just profiteering.

There are 6 European competitors to Starlink, of which Eutalsat is the front-runner adopted by Ukraine, as they can't trust Musk not to disable access and privilege Russia.

House Dems have FAILED to include amendments to bar govt. officials from financial interests in these crytpo assets.
Amid "concerns" over money laundering & nat. sec. Dems remained “eager to continue working with our colleagues”.
This is corruption in plain sight.

On Amazon, you can use the Keepa browser extension. This shows you the price changes over time. For example, I looked at an item yesterday, it's price was $77.49. Today, the same item had a purchase price of $99.71. Some firms are showing the tariffs as a shipping charge

Keepa is an app that tracks Amazon product prices over time. Using keepa, it would be easy to see by how much the price has increased recently

I posted this in response to right-wing commentators decrying the decline in US birth rates since 1800s. More infants died in 1850 than were born.

I dare say he's not a big fan of Trump, after he humiliated him and ignored his very real needs, to cozy up to Putin on live TV.
