I have had these birds return to my oak tree in New Orleans for over 20 years. Arrive in mid April, spruce up the nest, lay their eggs, incubate them, raise the babies until they can fly. Then, they move on in late June/July. Fascinating to watch!

Well done. Beautiful.

Got my second shingles vax today!! I can cross that off my list of things to worry about. I love science. 💜

You go girl! (Mom of two NYU grads, and one NYU Law grad next week!). Hold your head up and go get what you want!!!

He's right guys! Snap out of it. Nothing about Biden matters from now forward. Think about it - who cares. The current situation is a massive five alarm fire - get with the present and help us save democracy.

OMG. I live in NOLA and this hurricane season is setting up to be a complete nightmare. From forecasting, tracking, emergency assistance, climate impacts, etc., etc. They have destroyed every aspect of how we stay safe during this tumultuous time. They will get people killed. Hope it's not me.

My grandfather was an amazing farmer and even taught horticulture to young people. He loved radishes. He was also perplexed by the occasional "hot" one. He could never get to the bottom of it! 😂

Yes, I know they do.

Hope this isn't the end of that age. Trying to buy a new Jeep. I list everything I want and they say, "no problem," until I add, "I want all of those things and I want it to be a manual," that addition always crashes the deal. You can get a manual, but not with all the other fun stuff.

Lovely, thank you.

No. This is grotesque.

That is the BEST news! Enjoy it. I was a substitute teacher for a few years and when I had downtime, I always went to the library to re-shelve books, or help kids find things. It was awesome!

Go George!! Have the best time. Well deserved.

Every time I hear this guy, I am shocked. He should be struck by lightning for the things he is saying. No one can believe any of this. We are not this stupid. The fact they think we are this stupid, is incredible; except elected Republicans are acting this stupid too. 😱

Sounds perfect!

I did not think I could be shocked any longer, but this put me over the edge. Seriously? Pope? The dossier T has on Lindsey has to be worse than any of us imagined.

Thanks for the reminder. I will do that soon, and feel better. Right now, sometimes it's the little things.

Interesting. For us tonight - smoked sausage, sauerkraut, smashed new potatoes. Must have been that kind of day!

I feel the same way. Her suffering was long and sustained. I'm sorry she believed this was the only path to peace.

That made me laugh out loud!!! My son-in-law is a gay high school special ed teacher and there [properly used] isn't anyone I would rather see teaching these kids. They love him, they trust him, there [again!] is mutual respect. They're [properly used] great together!!

That place looks awesome. Wish I was closer. Hope y'all have a great Bookstore Day!!

It is sooo not fair to compare the two. Pete is so far and above the other guy (hate to even say his name). Pete would be amazing in any elected/appointed position (as he was as Sec. of Transportation). I support him all the way!

I love that. Keep doing it. Delish.

So encouraged to see groups stepping up most of us never even knew existed. We have to support these groups as they fight for so many of us.

Keep going!! Writing can be criticized, and it should be, but never step on or try to cancel whacky ideas as long as they aren't hateful.

That's gorgeous. Can't believe you found time, but as a fellow knitter, I know how relaxing and de-stressing it can be. Just know, I'm in the trenches with you to Fight the Oligarchy and to keep knitting!
