Like most things nazi, the biggest contribution to their defeat was themselves. In hindsight Rommel's defense plan might have been more effective, but hard to say with allied air supremacy . Of course they had to infight and contradict and micromanage everything against a meticulous allied plan

I like the rigidity of go. I would think something like the handler approach might work if it was instead done like defer. Define a handler matching the functions return to a var that goes in place of the current err assignment. If assigned the handler is invoked. Keeps syntax but still flexible

Why not? They threaten NATO patrol craft with their air force for attempting to board a shadow fleet tanker. There should be a similar posture from NATO - detain the shadow tankers and use NATO assets to deter intervention

Sun was my first job, started there as an intern just before the Starfire line came out. Awesome place to learn as the hardware and OS parts of this line up started to gel together (give or take a few cosmic rays)

Honestly I thought you were starting this with a version of "The night before Christmas" and it took be a bit to realise why I was struggling to match the cadence

Its like watching the kid you have told for 3 years that the stove is hot, repeatedly mash their face on it and then look at you and cry that it was unexpectedly hot

A couple of more shots from the session - Qantas A380 on approach to 16R with the ANZAC bridge in the background, and a 737-800 touching down on 16R #aviation #photography #sydsquad #yssy #qantas #a380

Ukraine needs to release this for fund raising - they could by some B-21s on the back of this

Don't attack, just send a formation parade of drones to take part too

That would be a really heavy hitting drone

But I am curious what those graphs look like if you apply them to import volumes from each of those countries, volume of imports by value, then imports times tariff rate to show how much of a cost impact there is to the US

Had a similar situation in 2016 with a US based role with Facebook, flew over for final interviews etc. Missed out but hugely relieved in the following years that we had not uprooted the family over there.

I don't understand in a time of struggling recruitment and increasing demand excluding anyone who is willing and capable. History is replete with female warriors - Nancy Wake, Milunka Savic, the Night Witches, soviet snipers - the idea gender matters for service is caveman thinking.

Would have loved to have had that opportunity, but fell short. Attended the Avalon Airshow this weekend which rekindled those dreams watching the action and talking to the crews.

Please tell me it ends with it going towards Ukraine and a Mr Javelin says hello

I mean this is the whole issue right - you put this stuff out there and it gets out - to either people who simply don't understand the significance of the details and rebroadcast it, or even worse those who do and can do something with it. The entire point of it staying in a SCIF.

LLMs are just predicting what word is most likely to be next with a lot of context cues. Useful for generating volumes of text but impossible to verify what data that output is being based on. At best they are a speed typing assistant needing review. The hype over them needs to simmer down

The only issue is that the B-2 was never designed to cope with detection from leaked Signal chats

Ambassador Sadesky is accidentally added to the group chat trying to recall the bombers. General Turgidson keeps putting American flag emojis at the end of every post and inappropriately liking updates indicating the bombers cant be recalled

Or the negotiations between the US and Russia take place via emoji

It is just a massive extension of the top mounted fuel tanks on the lightning, saves that whole mid air refueling nonsense if you just drag the vulcan as a permanent tank

Coming from GCP to AWS I constantly find myself asking "but why is it like that?" and the answer usually is "yes". GCP feels like lego. AWS feels like mechano but with sharp edges and missing bolts.

Surely there is no more point in Ukraine trying to maintain anything from the US, and must pivot to Europe alone. Unfortunate and as bad as that is for the US equipment Ukraine now has, nothing more from them can be relied upon under these muppets.

My suggestion may be more factual than Google's AI, which is suggesting the Vulcan is carrying the lightning

I think one of the takes that makes sense to me, is this was about being able to write off the peace deal and blame Zelenskyy for it, because Russia won't come to the table but Trump doesn't want to publicly say that. This lets him point to his base and say "I tried but he wouldn't do it"

Where as even in Afghanistan the US armed the mujahideen to fight.
