That being said, I agree the insurer needs to pass savings to the customer. Maybe there should be a third party setting standard rates. But, then you pay for that too. Or, maybe, Medicare for allā¦š¤

I mean, thatās a little bit simplified. The reason insurance companies review bills is because prior to that, healthcare providers set their price without any transparency (they still do that), and there was no standardization or comparisons. Insurers need to verify billing, not just pay them too.
