This is everything!!! ❤️ I have yet to use any AI knowingly for an writing tasks for the same reason that at 55 I choose to shovel wood chips in the garden myself...use it or lose it! What else would I be saving myself for, shopping?

I'm watching the nettles for when the Lady bug mating begins... currently they're all still singles on stalks, but give it 2 weeks ;)

A favorite moment last year was asking a musician friend who was knitting in a bar before her gig what she was knitting, her answer was knitting her anxiety...best answer ever I thought... Dishcloths are perfect for that. Knit onwards!

Words are like stitches..they all get strung together to make something greater than the whole, and a slow contemplative task...except when they come like a torrent, the equivalent of what I call 'drunken stitches'?

Best feeling ever!!

🤣totally go for it

That looks like a good path for walking and spinning, the knitting would be on a couch later on😉

Hey, I resemble that...🤣🤣🤣

It's actually an unknown wool, like a targhee fleece, only grey, gifted bag of clean fleece spun and knit up likely 10 years ago?

Wool is antimicrobial, we have gotten used to washing our clothes as if we are wearing polyester and it's so not required with wool!... messy eating aside of course😉

Hmm, UK evenings fit my morning zoom availability, as gardens wake up my time will disappear but pls keep me on any list should something get started, I have a pro zoom account so could host a few too...

Very rarely! I live in wool tank tops as my tshirt equivalent, I hang them on the line for a day after wearing, then back in the closet, probably two or three times a year they got washed? Far less then my linen knits.

Yes! Removing connection to land and food sovereignty is truly colonization 101... here we are again...😭.another reason why they reduce/control education-its access to how resistance has been fought in the past. Ugh.

...a radical turn in perspective due to current affairs, but maybe foreign investors holding AG land right now isn't the worst after all? ... (still a fan of any LandBack options) but fear feeding people real food grown near home is going to get harder

I know historically linseywoolsey has been 'a thing' but nettle is a lively line compared to linen, and has a bounce that works much better with wool IMHO 😉

This is my big fear about what is ahead for all US farmers. Between the pulled grants leaving farmers in debt, and now Canadian potash 25% more if tarriffs go ahead, small/mid sized independent farms will be forced to sell.

Sharon, also in Vancouver 🇨🇦, I grow nettles and flax to spin, work with gotland× wool from nearby Barnston island and always have a few projects on needles, a wheel or a warp weighted loom.👋

.. is there another way? Is there a prayer to Clotho I am supposed to say too?
comment in response to post
Lol, I was at my desk hyper focused. I totally missed it😅
comment in response to post
??? Did I miss a shake?

Totally!! I think lots about curated efficiencies...when I use a wheel over a drop spindle, a drum carder vs hand carders, sewing machine vs hand stitching...mostly, the slower the roll the more enjoyable the process
