The majority of federal employees work for DoD, Homeland Security and VA. Most people who work for the defense department, homeland security and serving veterans aren't what I would generally consider liberal. Nevermind the department of Justice he maligns so much which is super conservative.

Spoiler alert: they aren't getting the funding. The only people I know taking this offer are a) people retiring anyway who are taking the gamble, b) people whose agency is being cut who have nothing to lose (USAID employees, etc.)
