I know we all want to figure out the best strategy to have the most OPTIMAL VOTE but there’s really no trick here, every RCV expert I’ve ever talked to says: just rank in order of preference, and don’t rank someone you loathe. that’s it!

So far, we've collected 22 DOGE financial disclosures. There's some interesting not-yet-reported stuff in the filings, like the fact that Nikhil Rajpal still held a position at X dot com as of filing.

A separate question is, is it worth consuming vast resources (both natural and intellectual) and hurling our work into the gaping maw of the big AI companies to help us write code faster? IMO using local LLMs helps on both fronts. GPT4all is a good app for tinkering with them. /fin

AI can be useful for writing code because, tbh, a lot of coding in 2025 is like plumbing: using well trod patterns to do similar tasks. Need to parse or convert a file? There are thousands of examples in the training data it can pull out to do that. It will NEVER do novel computer science.

AI can be useful for certain things. But it cannot determine what is factual. These aren't "hallucinations," they're probabilities in text distributions. The reason it can write plausible sounding prose is, it's been trained on millions pages of text. It's the structure, not the content.
