I hope the event went well. I would have come in to run some Ghostfire Gaming adventures, but I’m at Origins for the weekend.

We’ll discuss its different aspects for a few more weeks, so hopefully it’ll get broader. Thanks for listening.

To be completely clear, there's nothing wrong with creating worlds that invite satire and social commentary. It can just sometimes be challenging to do so in a way that also allows creators to focus on telling intricate and nuanced stories there without getting overwhelmed by the larger themes.

I've worked with quite a few great art directors, but I won't presume to name them. Art and art direction is still an arcane and mystical process to me.

I've not read the released version because of an impending deadline I can't miss, but it's definitely different than my submitted draft. I used a modified version of the "included" map, that has one path starting in the east, then going north, east, south through the center, then east again.

The Kickstarter is still open for late pledges, so if you are a D&D player or fan of great fantasy settings, you can still get in and take advantage of the deals from the Kickstarter.

The fact that we're preparing to wrap up this work this soon is a testament to the expertise and dedication of Ghostfire team and all the freelancers--writers, artists, designers, editors, etc.--who contributed to the project.

Despite all of that, we're just a couple weeks away from finishing all that work. This is content that would normally take years to write, rewrite, develop, edit, proof, lay out, create art, etc.

The Kickstarter started in October 2024, before the final versions of the 2024 DMG or Monster Manual. The new license wasn't released until just a couple months ago. The update for the transition from the old System Reference Document to the new one was just released a couple of days ago.

The Kickstarter for Grim Hollow Transformed was as ambitious as any I've been involved in: update and add to both the Campaign Guide and the Player Guide, reformatted and tweak the Monster Grimoire, create several short adventures, and even more smaller projects.

My party is already playing the Princess Bride group before the campaign starts.
