If all of the countries of these international students were to gift the president with a fancy airplane, or purchase a bunch of his meme cryptocurrencies, or donate to his personal PAC, these students would be welcomed with open arms to study anywhere they want to in our country!

These extreme tariffs are both affecting my buying habits and my 401K investments. I'm buying less, putting off purchases, and looking at taking my money out of my company's stocks and placing it in a safer place (not stocks or bonds). I'm getting too old this sh*t!

I have very real concerns about increased chances of more wildfires anywhere on the East Coast, especially now that this administration is working overtime to make climate change worse with their draconian policies!

A lot of his supporters also support Putin. There is nothing they would love more than to see us become the USSR of the West!

Families, especially with children, are struggling to find food that they can afford. Meanwhile, he and his family and staff have full pantries and refrigerators and order in big macs, large fries, and chocolate shakes whenever they want! How is this fair? π‘

I hope no one is blaming Wes Moore for this. The bridge was built before 1977, and Moore wasn't born until 1978.

I prefer the "If I have the money now, I'll buy it and pay in full now", if i don't have the money now, I will wait until I do to buy it" method.

Do we know how many of these veterans voted for Trump in November?

In this current political environment, to just say, " I don't agree with the president'", is seen as threatening by some.

Congress is a bunch of submissive puppies who have rolled over and exposed their bellies to Trump and Muskrat!

Exactly! The weak knees Republicans are scared that they'll lose their cushy congress jobs if they say one negative thing about their dear party leader or say no to his face. They, too, don't really care enough about the people in their districts who will suffer the most from this administration.

When will everyone, in this country and in the world, learn that the only person that really matters to Donald Trump is Donald Trump?
comment in response to

Unfortunately, the group of Republicans that is in Congress currently will not care. Some might even push them back down the steps (figuratively speaking).

My Shiba is 15 years old. She lost her left front leg over 5 years ago due to a horrible attack by another dog in our neighborhood while I was walking my Shiba. About a year ago, she started having back issues. Now she is having trouble walking (her legs are getting weaker). Yours?

There are times i wish Jesus would just appear long enough to bop each GOP along the side of the head and say, "What are you guys doing? You're supposed to follow my example of taking care of the less fortunate, not steal from them!"

However, I heard boycotting them because of the rescinding of DEIA, hurts the manufacturers of minority, women, & LGBTQA products. A better solution is to only purchase products made by these groups whenever possible. Let Target know we're not pleased with the rescind, but will support these groups.

During the height of the pandemic, I started online shopping from Target, mostly laundry and household products. I either would drive up and have the bring out to the car or get it delivered. No more. Even my hubby is on board with this. (1 of 2).

If the IRS doesn't have enough employees, and the president is considering abolishing income tax, does that mean we don't have to file our tax returns this year?

Exactly. I'm not a federal employee, but an older retired person from the corporate world. As I worked my way up a couple of rungs of the ladder, I had probationary periods of 6 to 1 yr. Luckily, I past requirements each time. I think there should be some sort of legal action at the very least.
comment in response to
post
Exactly. In some corporations, when you move from one position into another, whether laterally or up the ladder, there's at least a six month probationary period, where your performance is scrutinized more closely, with more frequent reviews, until your supervisor or manager has confidence in you.

The fact that Musk and his young hackers are able to access the personal social security information of every person in the United States should make all of us angry. However, most of the ones who voted for Trump seem to be okay with this. Their comment, "We voted for this!" π‘

Meanwhile, folks in my county are having a sissy fit because the high winds knocked out their power last night, and BGE didn't just flip a switch and miraculously turn everything back on.
