idk who the fursuiter was, but spotted some canine fursuiter with a GIANT pompadour on my way to the symphony? regret not catching up to them to get a photo 😢 brightened my mood as it was kind of soured at dinner when the waiter joked that he threw in some shots of jack into my diet coke 😑

felt like some meditative model building was in order today so took a stab at a Walthers N Scale station for my Sierra Nevada layout this afternoon So far, not so bad! A bit of spot cleanup painting to do (in retrospect wonder if I shouldn’t have just hand painted the trim rather than rattle can)

Neat treat in the mail today: a coaster set made from the skin of the now decommissioned Kuiper Airborne Observatory! ✈️🔭 Originally Lockheed's demonstrator for a civilian version of the C-141, it was donated to NASA who added a telescope, and notably used to discover the rings of Uranus in 1977!
