I hope it's not Xhekaj who sits out. In the last 3 games or so, Matheson and Carrier have been the worst pairing on the team. I hope MSL goes 11-7 or Savard sits out.

Islanders are not a concern, as we have Flames pick, I want the Flames to lose as many games as possible.

A good home game for the Habs.

From the time the coach was announced to ommission of Parekh, Beckett Sennecke and Misa from the lineup was a bad idea. They put all the offensive pressure on young Gavin. There are lots of misses on the makeup of the team.

Great read as always. With the year he's having, Evans is pricing himself out of Montreal. he's likely to get 3.25x5 or more as a UFA. With the kids knocking on the door next year, It might be too rich for the Habs.

The best thing about the current 3rd pairing D is that both of them can move up the lineup if need be. This might be the best 3rd pairing MTL has had in a while.

It was a great game, Leonard has really impressed me with his overall game as well. I know you were one of not many who liked him at 5 for MTL, awe, what could have been.

If Evan's keeps this pace, 4 x 2.6-2.75 would be great, and the young assets could be used to beef up other needs.

They definitely need a center. Hopefully, like Demidov, Misa falls into their slot. The big reason some people don't like Reinbacher is that Michkov is having a very good start, If Reinbacher turns into 1RD, maybe they think differently in 4 years.

Congratulations, i wish it was at home. With Michel Lacroix announcing, the ovation would have been deafening!!

It's the best time.of for Canadian sports fans. I thoroughly enjoy watching the WJC. I was fortunate to see #99 on Christmas day in Montreal 1978 against the Czech's, perhaps the greatest game by a player in WJC.

Great read as always. Brian, no mention of Florian Xhekaj, I like his compete level, not a great skater, but he is involved most of the time. Do you think he could be an option for the bottom six in two years?

At the beginning of the season, I had the Habs pegged at 88 points, and now i doubt they make it to 78.

Yikes, i tuned out at 6-2 and started watching the Oilers game. I didn't realize that it ended 9-2.

Brian, are you gonna be doing a hit on CHED any time soon? It's been a while since I heard you there.

You're correct. I won't be reading COTW for the game, just like the Habs, I want to forget this one fast.

They have 1 shot in the last 21 minutes. After the first 5 minutes, it's definitely a no-show.

I agree with your assessment as well, the reason I said mental mistake is that he's thinking about being hit and not really ready to be engaged in all facet of the game.

It's fun to see the PP with Hutson and Laine at work.

If they are serious about being in the mix, which I believe is too late for this year, then they must make a go for a 2nd line center. If not, then be in the mix for Misa. There shouldn't be a middle ground.

Brian, would you be able to shed a light on why wasn't Logan Thompson picked for 4 Nations cup? Just looking at his last two years in Vegas, and this year, I thought he should have been given a long look.

Still a very fragile team. They let the other team change and control the momentum too often.

I think the BRICS countries should do the same and tell that if you make a move to interfere, then we will definitely create a new currency to counter the US dollar!

The fans are great and have been very patient. I feel for everyone who paid money to watch this game in person. The offense generated maybe 5 scoring chances in 65 minutes.

Maybe this game is the start of something. So far, it's the best total game they have played this year.

Good to see your work here, I like many followed you here. Let's hope this stays like the other format before an ego driven, power-hungry man took over there.
