It's one for properly stout breeding and I'm all for it.

Er...Charles Laughton 😉

4. Lincoln?

Well, you could if there was a separate offence or an add-on provision. (But I'm presuming neither exists here.)

It is an absolutely terrible error of judgement, that will not only reflect upon him, but the race and the sport. As an aside, I wonder if there was any latitude to adjust Nolan's penalty in light of Celebre D'allen's death?

I think it's got potential...

Word has it that the soundtrack is pretty good, with tracks by AC/DC, Sparks, ELO and The Power Station.

I understand he liaises with the resistance on a regular basis.

Wow. I can't believe what I've read. Proper journalism.

Great piece of journalism here, Mr Kirk. Continuance of the SJP in current form is unconscionable indeed.

With the field drop, I suppose there's only been one running of the ultra-new National with 34 runners.
comment in response to post
Yes, I wouldn't have blinked having an 11yo on side back in the day. I think the National is my conscious annual reminder that I have belonged to another era.
comment in response to post
Yeah - I think we haven't had enough runnings of the ultra-new National to take a stats-based approach. Mind you, I've got this idea that age 8/9 is the sweet spot...? Apparently, wheelbarrows of cash have been seen for Hewick and he'd be a good winner for the profile of the race.

Agreed re Hyland, but swayed by ground. He'd be my 3rd choice. MoTW - unsure whether stamina or age and busy campaign last year. But, went with him when weights came out. Jumped like a dream last year. However, confidence a bit dented as it looks as if D Mullins is going to partner Minella Cocooner.
