Love this. Don't let haters bring you down.

This is not a leader. He is an unserious loyalist who never should have been nominated. He's in over his head and has demonstrated his inability to lead our defense department. Dude's got to go.

Who does this help? Not the American people!

The market had anticipated we'd have THREE rate cuts this year. Instead, we're in the dumpster. No one knows what's happening. People are freaking out gold is up. When gold is up, there is a lot of fear in the market - check the VIX.

Why should I do something more extraordinary to vote that men don't have to do?

Now we're supposed to rely on each individual state to fix this. Typical republican legislation. Making Americans suffer to fix a non-existent problem (non-citizens voting). It'll be easier to buy a gun than for women to vote.

The name on their marriage license must match the birth certificate. When women marry, they don't change their birth certificates. Real IDs are insufficient as well as they do not prove citizenship. An amendment was offered to fix this and it was voted down.

That's why I'm no longer a subscriber after being one for decades. Now, I am spending my money on the Guardian and Atlantic.

She and the lot of them sold their soul for the devil. Happy she gets the day she deserves.

They're speaking up now. But they never should have voted for a felon who has no respect for the military and our nation's security in the first place.

They need to feel the pain to get out of the cult.

I moved to a rural area and these people bought into trump whole heartedly. Their schools have free lunch paid for by grants from Dept of Ed. The farmers and watermen will struggle and the food banks will be empty w/o $$ from USDA. We were hoping to get a new bridge but that now won't be funded.

I think we're there now.

Well he doesn't have the confidence of democrats across the country. We'll make sure our reps know how we feel about being stabbed in the back.

Exactly. Vote NO on everything.

There's no way to leave a msg. Tried earlier this evening.
comment in response to post
This is why the Dems need to vote no.

I have called both Kaine and Warner multiple times as has my spouse. Last I saw they were both a hard no and VA has a significant of affected people and programs. I understand that a shutdown affects people's livelihood in the short term. But we need to play the long game and hold GOP to account.

NO! Let the GOP own it.

Thank you Broken. You and so many others are needlessly suffering due to this craziness. Appreciate you standing up for what's right even when it harms you and your family.

My aunt passed last year at 101 years old. I am sure she got minimum SS yet had worked through her 70s. Are we going to take money away from the elderly like her who can barely afford food to give more to billionaires like elon?
comment in response to post
Great. Our 401ks will tank and they'll steal our SS. We'll never be able to retire. πŸ₯΅

Absolutely I think about this everyday.

We are led by the most immature people. How embarrassing. They've brought down our standing in the world.

I've never hated any single human being, or anything at all, more in my entire fucking life. I hate that motherfucker with the heat of a thousand suns with every cell in my body. I loathe him beyond comprehension, and it increases every day that it keeps breathing.

And then they voted for him as Chairman?
comment in response to post
But the board voted him as the Chairman. Why capitulate?

Moved to VA01 from VA11. What a downgrade. It's hard to break through Wittman's hold. Maybe the watermen and farmers need to FO that voting against their own best interests isn't smart.

The accountability for any agency expenditures lies with Congress. Repugs act as if this is all news to them. If it is, then they did a poor job of reading the budget they passed. The agencies do not get a blank check to spend on whatever they want - these are congressionally funded projects.
comment in response to post
Do it! Many Americans are like toddlers who need to burn their hand on the hot stove before they learn their lesson.
comment in response to post
As a Senator, he had to vote for the budget that included USAID projects. So either he forgot what he voted for, didn't read appropriation bills, or is just performatively spewing nonsense. 🀨
