On to Step 2. Rhubarb, shallots, and garlic have had time to give up their juice and now it's in to the oven to roast. I also have the rest of the sauce simmering on the stove.

Going to go set up a board game soon so my wife can once again humiliate me at First Rat....lol. If you like board games, I highly recommend First Rat. Super fun, lots to do on a turn and plays in about an hour.

Have been having an awesome day so far. Went to the #Powwow at St. Mary's here in #Fredericton and was lucky enough to be invited by a friend to join her. I got to watch the Grand Parade of the Dancers up close and was right next to the Drummers. So beautiful, powerful, still resonating with me.

Washed, chopped, and bagged it turned out to be 14.5kgs of #rhubarb! That's a lot of rhubarb. First plan is to make a batch of my Roasted Rhubarb BBQ Sauce and some Rhubarb Relish! 🍜🍽️

Friends gave me 3 buckets of rhubarb today! First bucket yielded 6kgs of chopped rhubarb, so I'm guessing I'll have close to 18kgs when I finally finish chopping it all. Well on to bucket #2!

Just had my initial taste and it's perfect. Sweet, a little spicy and the flavour from the thyme goes well with the vinegar and rhubarb! I've made this many times and it never fails to make me happy!

#BuddyCrow brought his girl #SherylCrow to visit and check-out what is on the menu. She kept guard while Buddy grabbed the peanuts and dog food to share. We took out an apple we peeled (Buddy doesn't like the peel), and chunked up small enough for him to carry. They grabbed that last.

#BuddyCrow joined us for a lunch of shelled peanuts and dog food. When we realized that Squirrelly Bob showed up uninvited we added some black sunflower seeds to the buffet for him. Though I have to say Buddy Crow did not appreciate the uninvited guest.

We have a new #Crow that has been hanging out on the powerline outside our house. I've taken to calling him #BuddyCrow, and I've been feeding him. He loves peanuts, especially ones still in their shell and he loves dog food. He does not like strawberries, asparagus, or black sunflower seeds.
