Anyone happen to have a rokoko suit for mocap? been looking for mocap solutions but not sure about the quality would love to talk (or maybe have you do the mocap for me for $$$) need some simple martial arts blocking animations

turns out the dodge I programmed by bending the character back and kneeling the legs is something done IRL

maybe 30 more degrees of rotation, add poise meter, and it'll probably qualify as a souls-like.. #gamedev #indiedev

I modified some downwards axe kick to be an upwards hopkick with frame-based bone bend instructions. Good for small modifications but probably not for making whole new moves. Any animators can tell me how much time it'd take to hand animate it instead? #gamedev #indiedev

turns out you need a ton of animations in 3D fighting games huh? between getting hitted from different directions, different strengths of hits, and then there's still blocking etc #gamedev #indiedev

these low moves were actual high attacks modded programatically, because I didn't wanna pay for mocap yet. The second kick kinda reminds me of a certain fighting game.. it's probably serviceable though #gamedev #indiedev
