Let’s not make excuses. This is our heritage back to the Highbury library days. We are an upper middle class club that cheers when we are in front, and grumbles/goes into our shell when we are behind. And perhaps that’s ok.

Pretty sure the picture shows the Cantonese pronunciation

Uh, absolutely not. Literally the next week, a player already on a yellow kicked the ball away and the referee did what he was supposed to - use him damn brain before choosing to send a player off.

Arsenal fan here. The whole Martinez, Emery thing IS really weird. The Rice booking, on the other hand, should be called out every single time as it is the epitome of PGMOL incompetence.

Karma for cheering their team to a loss last year.. this is going to be their Curse of the Bambino.

Low scoring sport yes; but with too much power given to refs that absolutely ruins games. Red cards should be super rare; as should penalties.

Maybe Emery is decent? Never?

Is there another sport where this would be a realistic worry? Sometimes, I do wonder why I follow this and put myself through it.

What’s the deal with hating on Unai? He’s clearly a top coach that has his team in QFs; he seems to have our number as well. This may look very foolish, but I’d rather play PSG in the semis than Villa.

Frankly even Trossard does a better job here with his feints

Uh, why? How many protests did you see against the previous owners? And how many against the Saudis? Most Newcastle fans I know fervently support the ownership. Please.

Did they get slammed for not getting out of their own half in the first leg? With all their magnificent attackers?

Now watch them sh!t the bed in the PL too… while we are too cr@p to take advantage of it.

Listen, there’s never truly been freedom of expression in India, going back to Nehru ( just google the the things he banned). Or ask Rushdie. Or check the raging controversy currently about “obscene” comments on a comedy show. Both the left and the right have been guilty.

Most embarrassing collapse since last year, frankly, when it was again Liverpool who choked it away.

Has it bottomed out? God, I hope not! There are several levels of the English football pyramid below the PL. May ManU get to experience each of them!

I hope you’ve had a chance to heap praise on Arteta. Entire front line decimated. No support from the Board for the last two windows. No complaints. Just keeps going! He is our MVP by far.

I will respectfully disagree. In Liverpool, I would equate him to a less accomplished version of Martinelli has been for Arsenal. IIRC, showed a lot of spark, a lot of youthful promise.

Sterling was never one of the best forwards in Europe. Please stop it. He was playing in an all star team, where he was a one trick pony. As soon as he’s lost his burst, he’s done.. because there wasn’t much else to his game.

Yea, I’m not sure I’m understanding all the complaining. Our entire front line is decimated. What do you expect? Only quibble is that we don’t create enough, and frankly, I want to emphasize that over the summer. Ø cannot be our only “creative”.

They are going to fall off. Unfortunately, we won’t be there to catch up with them. 82 points should be enough to win the league.

Penalties are probably his weakest point. He has a small frame and his strengths (quick reaction times, calmness, distribution) don’t help much here. Probably a reason why he goes earlier.
