I'd put this on a t-shirt except no one would ever see it.
comment in response to post
Depends. Will you be unboxing it with or without a shirt on? 😁
comment in response to post
Yeah, I've seen that, too.

Clearly because I wasn't getting enough attention by whipping my dick out, so I had to up my game with some 5-year-old's crayon-on-wall scribbles.

Saaaaaaaame.

I did a handwriting thing on Twitter once and someone came at me repeatedly telling me I was such a liar and was faking my own bad handwriting, lol. Ahhh, those are the days...

The one thing that's been really nice about being gone from IG since the beginning of the year is the ads. Not because they are annoying, but jfc because the targeting is too good and I've bought so much shit, lol. Amex is probably like "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR SPEND IN Q1, JAY?? IS IT US???"

I'd probably cut all my followers and followings to just people I actually know and have interacted with. Keep the profile private. Because one thing I really hate about IG is DMs from people I don't really know.

Ooof. Built up. Torn down. Rebuilt. Tore up... what a journey.

Funnily enough, Brixley had been named "Taz" at the Humane Society because, well, this is him. Unlike me tho, he never runs into anything.

So, par for the course with Elgato as their software consistently sucks across all their hardware. Only thing I'm surprised by is the WiFi LED that doesn't work on one light. Guess I should try to exchange that one, but that'll be a pain since these were the last ones Mission Valley Best Buy had.
comment in response to post
Well, out of 4 lights I got, I've set up 3. Trying from my phone, the app wouldn't recognize my WiFi. 1st one worked connecting from PC. 2nd one took a few resets to work, but WiFi indicator LED isn't working on it at all. 3rd connected fine. Elgato's Control Center isn't showing all lights tho...

I like it a lot. I switched from SmartThings several years ago when I was looking for the closest thing to a drop-in replacement that offered more functionality and customization.

It looks like they will have all the features of the Protects except for the pathlight thing, but I don't care about that. I just ordered one for now, but it's supposed to integrate with the Protects so I can still see if everything works okay before replacing the rest. Will def post when I get it.

Yeah, while all our Alexas and Google Homes (that are in every room) are all on UPSes, in addition to Hubitat and all the network gear, I still like to not have to rely on additional integrations for the smoke detectors, even though I do have some as an additional backup.

Having all the alarms sound isn't as big of a deal for me where I live now compared to my house then. But the Nest Protect voice location alerts are very handy and they are also way better because of the "heads up" pre-alarm notification. Big silence buttons are a plus, too.
comment in response to post
Nope, they're the same Z-Wave ones. First Alert has only made two models of those, the original Z-Wave and then a Z-Wave Plus. Same features. I had them connected to SmartThings at the time. They aren't interconnected so one alarm going off doesn't cause the others to sound. No voice alerts, either.
comment in response to post
Yeah, I had those 10+ years ago before I swapped them out for Nest Protects. At the time, the First Alerts were prone to false alarms for me and I didn't like that they weren't linked together. First Alert is coming out with a model very similar to Nest Protect www.firstalert.com/us/en/SC5-sm...

Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaars ago almost took a trip down there because flights on WN were so cheap and my bf worked for Marriott so we could get a cheap room. He called down to the hotel we would be staying at to ask some ?s and the girl at the front desk was like "absolutely do not come here it is awful" lol.

Probably also in front of, I imagine.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. So, just don't drop either in the bathtub with you and I'm sure the superpowers will follow.

That's the thing, I had already started the laundry. I guess the laundry lives in the laundry room now. And no pants for me ever again.

There's no coming back from this.

It definitely has a more raw, gritty feel to it. It evolves over its run, especially as actors come and go. Some of that evolving is good, some not as good. But I'd say it keeps you interested throughout.

So originally she wasn't going to be a major character and would die in the pilot. But I guess test audiences liked her so much they kept her on!
