I write boring things for big companies that don't use my name. I write other things here and use my first name. I have two sweet dogs that wish the UPS man wouldn't ring the doorbell.

Look, Mr. Trump specifically *told* them this isn't a war. He just wanted to bomb them some. If Iran attacks our bases they're starting a war đ°

The thing is, typical authoritarian states have enough discipline to put on a show. Nazi Germany* could tell its bureaucrats "don't hassle people coming into the country for the Olympics". Trump won't rein in the petty CBP goons.

I think "How should professors grade an intelligent, technically-competent essay that argues for an evil position" is a question worth discussing.
But that paper we're talking about? It sure ain't it.

I don't think the Olympics are actually going to change the 2028 venue but boy they sure oughta do that.

As I recall, Obamaâs campaign was a big part of what made Twitter go from niche toy to powerhouse in 2008.

I see a lot of voices in the center and on the right awed by the remarkable tactical skill of Rising Lion and Midnight Hammer, but tactical skill does not make one omniscient or preserve a force from strategic error.
Just because strikes are impressive does not mean they are effective.

The old cliche in economics is, if something canât go on forever, it will stop.

I.e. this *could* be âa few big names want Cuomo and dislike consequences for sexual harassment (*cough*, hi Bill) and theyâre dragging the party est lishment along with them.

Between Cuomoâs fundraising and the big names coming out for him, I think itâs fair to say thereâs an elite Democratic consensus to support him (and/or to block Mandami). Is it the DNC bureaucracy? No, but it doesnât need to be.
Mind you, I donât know which way the causality pointsâŚ.

She made the broad statement that there are lots of powerful abusers in the Democratic Party. Given that one of them abused her personally, several other powerful democrats know this and are backing him, and one recent one has a history of committing sexual abuse himself, I think itâs well grounded!

The NYT says Fordo is too deep to hit with one MOP, theyâd need to drop another inside the first oneâs crater. If I were doing this Iâd want a few tries đ¤ˇ

The good news is, Trump is doing his damnedest to show them what a dumb thing they did in voting for him. The bad news is, if he canât convince them, I donât think the rest of us can either.

Last year, the Dems campaigned on âwe will maintain our constitutional form of government and we will not have sex with the furnitureâ and honestly, that shouldâve gotten 80% right there, itâs the votersâ fault that it didnât
