Ah sorry to hear that Jess, I'm in a similar work boat and I'm knackered so sending love and solidarity. Hope things ease up soon.
I read and enjoyed Lucy Barton and watched the Olive Kitteridge TV show. I think Strout is perhaps a marmite author? I've heard great things about Shy Creatures x

Thanks Beth. We didnβt get much spare time as we wanted to spend as much as we could with Dad. But we squeezed in some time with old friends & a short shopping trips.
Fiji/any of the islands are on my bucket list. What a wonderful destination - have an amazing time, Iβm here for holiday spam! Xx

Apart from the car crash which I hope youβve recovered from your life seems to have mirrored mine. Got back on Monday from a very last minute trip to Nepal to see my sick Dad. And work is off the charts crazy. What is up with the universe?!
Sending mahoosive hugs your way πππ

We donβt have one. I have a strong sense of smell and everything thatβs washed in a dishwasher smells funky or like eggs to me so Iβm sticking with washing by hand!

Ahh you know Sheila, plodding along! Got back late on Monday from a last minute trip to Nepal to see my Dad who is not very well. Was good to spend time with him. Already back at work now and trying to keep the jet lag at bay! xx

I want to share intelligent, well thought out comments but I feel like a petulant child, flailing and screaming 'NOOOOOO, Ncuti had only just begun. BRING HIM BACK!!!'
And I'm really not sure how I feel about Billie being the Doctor, although I expect she's a bridging doctor.

Thanks Jess, Mumβs well. My brother is trying to buy a house and she lives with him but his landlord sold their house and so him, my SiL and niece are in a short let so we thought it would be less disruptive for my mum to stay with us for a while.
