Hope some enterprising business reporter writes up a story on the unpleasant PR ramifications of providing hotel rooms for ICE. Nothing like a little publicity about how bad for public relations and business providing aid and comfort to these people can be. . .

Have seen reports that they moved to the Courtyard Marriott in Monrovia (including a video of all the ICE vehicles in the parking lot) but also one post claiming they also had to leave there, as well. Hope its true.

Though I received this which suggests to me that the Marriott chain apparently hasn't fully absorbed the lesson. ICe agents are rumored to have moved to the Courtyard Marriott in Monrovia.

I saw that ICE agents were asked to leave the Marriott in Pasadena after several hundred protesters showed up (though they're now rumored to be at the Marriott in Monrovia). This seems an effective tactic for inconveniencing certain people. bsky.app/profile/adef...

Sending the National Guard into LA while denying them active duty benefits, including housing allowances, forcing them to sleep on concrete floors while failing to provide food, water or fuel seems a piss poor way of endearing themselves to the people they're counting on supporting their fascism.

UPDATE 6: Ventura County Sheriffs Department is now in LA and on the streets firing at protestors.
So far the Sheriffs have been the most aggressive of forces in the last few days. Firing the majority of all out Less-than-Lethal volleys. Sheriffs are ELECTED politically.
