Why are all these white people in north america? Who knows?

Just wanted to let you know I read through your AI girlfriend post and I have some advice. Get emotional help. There is no consciousness, or emotion, or thought or love in LLMs. It's autocomplete and you've fallen for it hook line and sinker. You're talking to fantasies in your head.

Have you seen the quality of modern builds? My house from the 1800s is still perfectly fine, but my friends down in the suburbs need to fix the foundation on their 5 year old home.

The person who pulled a gun on law enforcement is not going to make it to the press conference later.

Hey man, are you going to volunteer to be part of the people who need to be culled? If not, why?
comment in response to post
Agreed! That's why we never build hospitals, schools, towns, community centres, institutions, and city parks. We're all too busy being greedy and violent.
comment in response to post
Yep! Anyone saying this is a recent thing needs to crack open a history book

It worked really well, when they used it. It was the only time the GOP was on the defensive in that election cycle.
comment in response to post
Well, and also the "thin blue line" mentality of protecting other officers no matter what.

By helping out Trump? He sure showed him! ELBOWS UP
comment in response to post
Yeah!! He did such a good job jumping in and covering for Trump. That's what a good friend does.

Yeah, I think baby-hitler is the only plausible scenario where I swing on the first pitch. Sorry, but I'm looking to work the count.

It's absolutely left Q.
comment in response to post
Actually the ideology is very different. The Diggers (who I'm referring to) are explicitly rural and agarian. I would suggest that you read up on some of this stuff, it's very interesting.
comment in response to post
There were proto-communist groups in Europe pre-industrial revolution but they were mostly agrarian "socialists" and don't really have much in connection with modern communists. Most historians would never conflate the two.

Feudalism is the result of a number of compounding factors. The fall of the Roman empire was a significant contributor as there was no longer a large state apparatus and a power vacuum appeared. It didn't arrive or disappear because serfs changed their minds.

You barged onto my comment, gave me your opinion that I absoutely did not ask for, and now that you're getting an ounce of pushback you decide you're the victim? Take. A. Hike.
comment in response to post
Look, if Trump isn't Voldemort my entire worldview is going to collapse in on itself.
comment in response to post
I'm telling you that I don't really care about your opinion. I am sufficiently capable of making up my own mind.
comment in response to post
Take a hike.

I was joking. Ed's fine.
comment in response to post
Yikes. I used to like Ed, but now I see that he re-used the same joke every three months or so and now I'm not sure.

And I will not apologize for being angry towards injustice.
comment in response to post
No, I don't like fascism. I'm a communist.

I'm 40, and when I was growing up, people always told me "well the pendulum swings left and right." OK, well I've been waiting all my life for a leftward swing...

We know the police force and the justice system can be unfair to minorities. To have faith in the system at this point in time is willful ignorance.
comment in response to post
It's bizarre. As a politician aren't you suppose to have supporters? Odd these folks haven't put together how connected "everyone is yelling at me" and "we can't win elections" are.

For those who don't wish to read the article, here's a summary:

No company (as far as I know) have been able to make money off AI so far.

Good thing there are more than two parties in Canada. Both Carney and PP suck shit, in different ways. And uh...The Proud Boys were literally started by a Canadian. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gavin_M...
comment in response to post
I've worked in the tech industry for my entire life, and have seen a lot of technologies come and go. I'll say this, fully knowing that I could be eating crow about it, but LLMs aren't going to be profitable. Investing in "AI" is slightly better than lighting your money on fire at this point.

Tax the rich. Heavily. Wealth inequality is one of the biggest problems facing Canada. Look at how the ultra-rich in the US have completely taken over the system. We're not far behind.

I want to have a livable earth for my kids, and for everyone in my community to have their needs met. I don't care how many packages get inspected going across the border. That's bottom of the list for me.
comment in response to post
Show your work then. It should be really easy to prove this, if it's so obvious.
comment in response to post
No it won't. It will actually make it worse. When you take money from people and their communities, it leaves people in situations where it's easier to radicalize them. Remember, Carney is cutting taxes. Any money that goes to security WILL come from somewhere else.
comment in response to post
Yes. We're throwing away $1.3b (while also cutting taxes!!) to appease Trump's delusions about fent.

Climate change makes Canadians unsafe. Homelessness makes Canadians unsafe. Toxic drugs make Canadians unsafe. Most terrorism in Canada is from the far-right white men.
comment in response to post
I don't care about any of that. I care that Canadians have food/water/shelter and have all the rights guaranteed to us by the charter. I'm concerned that Carney is putting forth legislation that will make us poorer, with fewer rights, and less safety.
comment in response to post
"all the upheavals" ???
comment in response to post
I think it would be fun to try it at least once. But in all honesty, if your politlcal party only follows the polls, you're not going to go too far. The GOP has radicalized their base and it's worked for them.
comment in response to post
Opportunity cost is a real thing. Also $1.5 mil in cap space can build over the season. $1.5 on LTIR is dead money.
comment in response to post
Oh yeah, I'm not a Tre supporter at all. There were very few bad contracts when he was brought in, and has made a bad signing or two every season.
comment in response to post
Yeah, it made no sense to sign him at his highest-high.
