I personally wanted to go for FotRP, however SF starts at level 11 so we’re going for a level 1 start with SoH. Afterwards we’re thinking quest for the frozen flame, and then using those characters for FotRP but that’ll be in the future

Leaning into the mystery of fate and being a super weird really made it fun.
Next? Season of Ghosts, we’re gonna go for a thematic spooky campaign. Probably not a crusade though.

With AV though we knew it was a meat grinder so we went in with that mindset, we didn’t mind about the wipe there.
The gameplay was fun, we had a very oddball group of cosmos Oracle, Paladin champion, ruffian Rogue, precision thrower Ranger, and psychic (idk his subclass but he did mind shit)

We’ve learnt to combat his style of play with our own tactics so it kind of balances out, in all honesty we tpk if the balance goes slightly over - we TPK’d in kingmaker because he accidentally made a spellcaster elite, and the level 5 spells killed us off!

Rating hard. However, I’ll rank em in order of how good they were to play in total
Strength of thousands
Stolen Fate
Kingmaker (when we just winged the kingdom building it got better)
Abom vaults (bc dm is evil and it’s combat heavy)
Extinction curse
Age of ashes

So we’ve completed:
Strength of Thousands
Stolen fate
We’ve TPK’d from:
Abom vaults
Kingmaker
Age of Ashes
Extinction curse
Stolen fate and strength of thousands are both fantastic APs, and we will be coming back to kingmaker another time. Our dm is pretty ruthless with encounters so it makes-

And the paladin decided to block some 80 damage in and deal another 200 within one round. It was an absolute landslide. No one rolled below a 15.

Seriously it was a 5v7, and every single member of our party was outputting at least one crit a turn. It was a slaughter. The psychic weird’d the whole room, the ranger max damage crit’d the boss, I banished two dudes and hit someone with a 280 damage moonlight ray, the rogue went nuts

Admittedly the dm did the “four encounters are in one house so you triggered all of them at the same time lmao” and made an extreme++ encounter, but somehow we managed to escape, reconvene, and assault the final boss room. And we kicked ass.

I will probably end up posting the memes we make mid session, an provide some context:
1) the dm (stian) killed pjaully, and we resurrected him as a ghost
2) we worked out that hero points are good and helpful
3) crit cards make the game WAY more fun
4) pjaully has a habit of failing polymorphs
