Inflammation has beneficial functions. Clearly, in aging organisms it might get out of hand and become partially maladaptive. It's interesting to think how to find out by how much one would want to lower inflammation without throwing the baby out with the bath water.

I liked screening for mutant worms. Each worm gave me a little dopamine flash of reward (after all, it could have been a mutant). Never a boring moment. And with good posture you don't even hurt. (The illustration is because as a kid I also liked knitting: each stitch a victory).
