I love the way this photo reminds me of the marble statues I liked so much in the Louvre! :D

I did a #MTGxFinalFantasy prerelease at my LGS last night, and I had fun, but they also said they're currently only expecting to do 1-2 drafts of the set due to availability of the product and (to an extent) the price point, which feels wrong to me for a Standard-legal set.

Remember when the Department of Homeland Security was hastily thrown together in response to 9/11? Yeah, maybe we don't need it anymore.

Today they have crossed a deep red line. We, the people, must hold the president and his appointees accountable for this outrageous abuse against American liberty.

When did Gatherer get a glow up? o_O It's all slick and shiny now. #MagicTheGathering

I'm thankful that my taskbar mysteriously started working normally again, though I'm also wondering what happened to cause it to mysteriously start working normally again. 🤔

😭 I’m actually getting emotional at the thought of a new Spaceballs??!?

Behold, a cloud that looks like a wizard hat! From a recent trip.

I would like to give Steam props for letting me know about Code Vein II. I enjoyed the first one well enough (it was rough around the edges, to be sure, but I enjoyed playing it) that I was hoping for a second, so I'm glad to know one is coming! :D

Sometimes worldbuilding requires studying things you wouldn't initially think about, like how the tilt of the Earth's axis of rotation affects day length. Right now, I'm trying to figure out how much that affects temperatures.

So I had a thirsty dream last night, by which I mean a dream where I was very thirsty, then my sister gave me a glass of water to drink. I think this is the first dream I've had about a physical need other than having to pee. So that was interesting!

I have identified an important dividing line for me. If an account has the occasional, thoughtfully articulated political post, that's cool. (Heck, I might even like it if that's all an account is!) If an account just spouts political slogans, that's exhausting and I'll probably not follow them.

There's something almost meditative about getting knots out of my hair.

In #MagicTheGathering, it feels rather painful to be flooding out, cast a spell to draw three cards and rip three Mountains off the top... It happens. The game might as well be called "Magic: The Variance" haha! But yeah, I didn't win that game...

When you're working on your Fantasy Setting and start thinking about how lunar cycles are used for timekeeping...

One of the more frustrating parts of being me is getting a huge burst of productivity right when I *should* be going to bed. >_<

Got my Wizard's Portal Book (or w/e it's called) and freed up something like 5 shared inventory slots. So that was worth it! (The bit of lore you get at the end is very sweet, too.) #GuildWars2

Random thought: Students using AI to get good grades reveals students' incentives. In other words, if we want to stop students from using AI to cheat, we need to provide them with incentives that make using AI pointless. This is a nascent thought, a starting point, so do with it what you will.
