God calls me to hope.
Demons argue that I should despair instead. They do a good job of sounding convincing, but they're also liars who hate me.

That is kind of terrifying, tbh.

In my experience, it's the beauty that's immediately around us that we're most apt to ignore because we don't take that time to slow down and actually pay attention.

That's a nice use of lockdown time. :D

But I figured doing that processing in written form would help me with doing it, and I hope that putting it here in a public space will help others with considering where they might be doing something similar without realizing it.

I dunno, I'm still kind of wrestling with the skill of prioritization. How do I make the things that are intellectually important to me feel more important?
I feel like the YouTube feed is somehow hacking my emotions, and in so doing, my sense of priorities.
I'm still processing this.

However, the subscription feed moves quickly enough that I feel pressure from it to keep up. It isn't a lot, but it's enough to warp my priorities, I think, to make me feel like watching YouTube videos is more important than it is.

I never go to YouTube's home page because that's a recipe for disaster in the form of watching too much stuff. And if I'm going to watch too much stuff, I'd rather it be too much anime so I can at least learn from storytelling stuff there.
So I use the subscription feed.

Basically, I'm really glad to have finally read book 1! I figured there was stuff that I was missing, but there was way more than I expected.

Like, there are a lot of really nice-to-know worldbuilding details and character introductions that happen in LN1 that aren't in the anime! Well, the character introductions are different, really, but it's more...in the middle of things, I guess?

...I actually started reading the light novels with book 2. I quickly came to love the style and the story even more!
Anyway, all that means is that I was familiar with the beats of the story from the anime and book 1 of the manga, but light novel 1 goes into way more detail.

Seriously, especially with how heavy some of these special, modern mattresses are!

We did a poor enough job of getting them out of Afghanistan in the first place. To not ensure their place in our country is dishonorable and disgraceful.

Fascinating. Is that why you've been wearing braces, then?

Oof.
Though, that makes me curious as to why you no longer have them all the time (though I'm grateful for you).
My mom had migraines a lot until she figured out foods that triggered them for her, particularly soy, which turns out to be in a ton of things.

That all sounds like a lot. I congratulate you on the print getting into the gallery, and I offer you condolences on the griefs.

I hope you're able to counter/manage it soon. Grateful for what you all are doing! :)

That said, it's possible that it's just a print-flow issue due to the immense popularity of the FF set that's giving an impression of limited product availability. I do hope that we do get to draft it at least a few more times than my LGS is expecting. I guess we'll see.

Like, I think the FF set is a really cool set! I want to be able to draft it a bunch! So hearing that they expect to only do a couple was disappointing.
My hot take is that if UB sets are gonna be Standard legal, they need to be available and priced like any other Standard legal set.

In America, existence is justified via perceived economic value. :(

Too many people on the Internet state their personal opinions/tastes as if they're universal facts.
I do try to avoid doing that, but I'm positive you can find a place where I'm guilty of it.

At least you still have cell service, I'm guessing. But yeah, having the Internet knocked out is rough.

Yikes!
It's been a long time since I've been in a proper thunderstorm. We'd get 'em where I lived in Indiana, but not out here near Seattle. I have felt a very minor earthquake, though, and let me tell you, the floor gettin' kinda wiggly is also disconcerting.

I know I do my best to use commas and hyphens correctly! It can be tricky, though.
Are tildes ~vibes-based punctuation~, though?

I definitely read that as 230-300 frames per second at first, which left me quite confused until I realized it was actually feet per second.
Also, yikes!
