In their ideal world, the US will be even more of a service economy. The upper-middle class will be gone. The new middle class will service the rich or service the robots. The poor will service the middle class. The undesirables will be forced to perform services that the poor won't even do.

It is quite likely that he is not doing this purposely. Consider that you have possibly told him he is doing things wrong while he tries to help in the past so he wants your input to avoid conflicts. Being competent on your own and being competent in a team environment are two different skill sets.

This man led his country is repelling an all out invasion using a force of mainly civilians armed with Soviet era weaponry. The US was very careful early in this conflict not to provide aid technologically equal to what the Russians were using. This encounter was embarrassing to the USA
